Description
We would like to invite you to the first Drug Addicts Anonymous World Convention and Conference, taking place in London, England.
This weekend is titled Into Action: Creating the Fellowship We Crave, and is jointly organized by DAA committees in England and Sweden.
On Saturday October 28th we will share fellowship and experience at a convention featuring Chris R as keynote speaker, along with other DAA speakers from around the world.
This will be followed on Sunday October 29 by a conference, which aims to explore what the future might hold for DAA and to establish channels for effective international communication. We hope to bring together as many DAA members and groups as possible for the second day of the event.
So, as well as inviting you to attend, we want to ask you and your group what the conference’s discussion points should be. What do you think DAA members from around the world should be talking about when they get together around the conference table later this year?
Discussion points might include:
· Establishing international communication
· DAA literature
· The date and location of our next conference
· Building DAA groups in non-English speaking countries
· A world service structure
But these are only suggestions – no doubt there are other topics you and your group will want to address. Please give us your input even if you aren’t able to attend in person; doing this will help provide the conference as solid a foundation as possible.
You can email your suggested discussion points or topics to london2017@daa.nu - we will try to cover as many of these as possible at the conference. Minutes will be taken and a detailed summary provided to all groups.
We really hope you’ll be able to make it to London in October!

DAA is a fellowship of men and women who have recovered from drug addiction by following the Twelve Steps - a tried and tested programme of practical spiritual action. Our fellowship attracts drug addicts from many walks of life, who between them used many different drugs, both legal and illegal. Nonetheless, we share a common problem: all of us, when using, had little or no control over the amount we took. And even when we sincerely attempted to, we were unable to stop using drugs entirely. In DAA, we found a solution to our problem, and now find life without drugs enjoyable and rewarding.
